1988’s Billboard Year-End Hot 100 Singles list was dominated by one artist—George Michael! He secured the #1 spot with his hit “Faith” and went on to appear in the list four more times, for a total of 5 songs in the top 100!

1988’s top five box office hits included “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, “Coming to America”, “Good Morning, Vietnam”, and “Big”, with “Rain Man” taking the #1 spot.
