Harbor Office History

The Kellcourt Building was originally built for IBM in 1971. The building is often referred to as 1909 Little Blue in reference to Big Blue, one of IBM’s sobriquets, and the building’s address. The design is based on “international style”, a major architectural style for the 1920s and 1930s.

In 2004, John Coleman and Oz Architects redesigned the building with a raised atrium. All the additions to the building maintain the architectural integrity that was created by Roger Easton, the original architect. In recognition of the redesign, the building recently received the Award of Merit by Historic Boulder, Inc.

Harbor Financial Group, Inc. Office

Harbor moved into the Kellcourt Building in May of 2008 after an extensive remodel. The design of our office includes Sun Tracker skylights, large windows for solar gain, ergonomically designed office furnishings, informal meeting areas, a garage door to allow for adjustments of the rooms for client gatherings and small group meetings; all integrated in a green and environmentally conscious design.
