You Are Your Own Best Competition

#5- 25 Things I Have Learned…

This has been a personal motto since I can remember.  I realized early in life that it does not matter what people around you are doing and it is a waste of time worrying about what they think.  What matters is your personal definition for success.  What are your goals, ideals and values?  What drives you?  In my case creativity propels my business and personal life.  I see or envision what I want to accomplish and then go about doing so.  This encourages thinking for oneself and out of the box.   In a world fraught with comparisons it is impossible to be the best, which can be demoralizing.  Why not measure yourself against your own internal yardstick to quote Warren Buffett.  Who better to compare yourself to push your limits?  Who better to measure your success?  Who better to motivate you to be your best?  No need to outsource here, measuring your own progress is all you need when you are your own coach.
