Harbor was a top sponsor for this year’s Doggie Dash 5k for the Humane Society of Boulder Valley! This year’s event, in its 24th year, brought out over 700 people and over 400 dogs, helping to raise $101,000 for homeless animals. The funds will be used to provide shelter, medical care, and behavioral rehabilitation to 9,000 animals this year alone.
This event is the Humane Society’s second largest fundraising event of the year and included many sponsored booths, a pet expo, a dog agility course, a costume contest, a pancake breakfast sponsored by Whole Foods, and a beer garden sponsored by Oskar Blues. Harbor hosted its own booth, giving away Harbor notebooks, dog treats, and raffling off a $100 gift certificate to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, which one lucky winner will use for vet services, training, and at the Sonnyside retail store.
Our team, “The Harbor Hounds,” wore bright green T-shirts and walked 3.1 miles in support of the Humane Society and the difference it makes in the lives of people and pets. We had clients, employees, spouses, children, and lots of pets from our team, and it was a really fun day! Thanks to those of you who came out!
